Everything shown is what a public register records, with its source named. We match records across registers and present them together. We do not score, rank, recommend or value anything, and we draw no conclusion about any business, site or person.

Matching one register to another can be wrong even where each source is right. Names are spelled inconsistently, addresses change, and a licence can outlive the business that held it. Where a match is inferred rather than exact, the report says so.

A report reflects the registers as at the dates it states and nothing after them. Companies are sold, licences lapse, charges are registered and directors resign. A report read weeks later may describe something that no longer exists in that form.

This is required by HM Land Registry's data licences and binds you as a condition of use. You must not scrape, bulk-download, republish or resell the data, or use it to build or train a competing dataset. Records from Companies House, HM Land Registry and the regulators named below remain subject to those bodies' own licence terms and to UK law, including data protection law and the rules on direct marketing. Using a service grants you no rights in that data beyond what the source bodies grant.

Companies House: company facts, officers, people with significant control, charges and filing history. HM Land Registry: Commercial and Corporate Ownership Data, for whether a company is the registered proprietor of a property. The Traffic Commissioners: goods vehicle operator licences. The Environment Agency: waste carriers, permitted waste sites, scrap metal dealers and end-of-life vehicle sites. The Care Quality Commission: care homes, dental, domiciliary care and supported living. Ofsted: childcare registrations. The Food Standards Agency: approved food and meat establishments. The Home Office: the register of licensed sponsors. The government planning data platform: planning constraints, where shown.

Companies reaching SME44 without a regulator's licence do so through the activity they declare to Companies House combined with premises they own. Their entries claim no licence, because they hold none.
