    Business Plan One Pager

    Template

    Business plan one-pager

A single-page business plan template — what most UK SME founders, banks, and investors actually want to see, rather than a 50-page document nobody reads.

Who it’s for: Founders launching new UK businesses or seeking SME finance

    How to use

    Follow these steps

    1. The problem

One sentence. Whose problem, what specifically is broken about how it''s solved today.

    2. The solution

One sentence. What you''re building, in concrete terms — not ''an AI-powered platform that revolutionises…''

    3. The market

Who buys it. Approximate size of the addressable market in the UK. The 3-5 segments that matter.

    4. The product

Today vs in 12 months. What''s already shipped, what''s coming. Bullets.

    5. The numbers

Revenue model, unit economics (gross margin per customer, payback period), break-even profile. Honesty matters more than precision.

    6. The team

Who''s in it, what each person owns, what gaps you''re hiring for.

    7. The traction

What exists today — pilot customers, LOIs, revenue, waitlist size, anything that''s real.

    8. The ask

If you''re raising money: how much, for what, what milestones it gets you to. If you''re not raising: what you''re asking the reader for (introduction, advice, partnership).
